An RPG?!? The things I miss when I don't read for a while

I just caught up on Shadowgirls and saw the news. Woohoo! My gamer heart is all a glow. :)

I'm happy to hear you're using True20. I haven't used the system much but I know Green Ronin makes quality stuff. Plus I rememeber it as being more streamlined than d20. That's a very good thing. I'll be checking the core book tonight to reaquaint myself with the system.

I'm assuming the play testing pool is full. If not, is it possible to get in on the play test action? Are there any actual play reports floating around? It would be cool to read how the game is progressing. Can you tell I'm married to a game designer and talk to game designers? LOL

Testing...

Postby Ebon1313 on Fri Jan 18, 2008 6:10 pm

I don't have a concrete plan for test right now. I'm still wrestling with content since DRod wants hooks for future books that he hasn't fully written yet. You have know idea what it's like trying to anticipate where he's going with something... ;)

It's like throwing yourself at the ground and trying to miss. Sure, if you can do it, you can soar. More likely you'll wind up with a lump on the head.

Well, since you've given me a system to work with (and I'm impatient) I may put together a little mini-campaign for some people.

I've always been curious about what happened to Charon during her "prolonged psychotic episode" in the desert. We're going to find out!

I'll certainly post about it when it happens. It won't be for a month or so though, as I have a deadline looming on a project.

I've started putting together notes for my game.

The story will unfold in one of those stark desert communities that is hardly a community at all. A lesser used highway runs through the desert where Jenny's is the lone diner/gas station for miles. Off in the hills are scattered homes and a small impoverished Indian reservation. There's a cold wind blowing in from the east and the scent of blood in the air.

The characters I'm considering are:

The guy who owns the local diner/gas station
A waitress at the diner
A hippy couple who have an "off the grid" earth home
A school teacher from the res.

I'll be posting more details over on my blog (linked in my sig).

*edited to remove a character - the trucker was too perdictable*
Just another [s]woman[/s] fish-monster with a podcast and a blog she rarely updates.

I'm all about discretion. ~ solomon

Heh, I don't usually get too excited about online RPGs or forum RPing but this is starting to get me hooked and I haven't even played it yet :) Hopefully I can get in on the action (as long as I can come up with an ok character or something)

cool idea. I happen to live on the furthest inland deep-water port in the world, and I've been working on a story set in the 40's and the turn of the mellimium about post-raid deepones trying to set up a colony here, and a second wave years later. I'm always reluctant to set PCs up though, because every time I make PCs I want to see, my players do a horrible job of playing them like I wanted them played.
When life gives you Lemons, if you've got sugar and water, make Lemonade. Otherwise, SUCK LEMONS!
