HIGH STAKES "Blood In, Blood Out" - SEQUENCE

Postby Charles on Sun Jan 18, 2009 11:59 pm

This thread/topic concerns the scene/sequence beginning with "Blood In, Blood Out Part One"

Damn! I wasn't expecting Vampires in the series 'till some later season. BloodWatch is taking on a whole new meaning now. And it still leaves me wondering why WhiteCoat had a different colour text. Although I guess it could be a simple indication of accent, or mechanical voice, etc. But the idea of a changling also sits in the back of my mind *shrug*.

See, Lindsey's mistake is that she's brought a gun to a stake fight. I guess she'd have had the instant advantage if he'd just been a normal mortal that she could use a gun on. Can't blame her for running into danger and not expecting vampires. The only save I see for Lindsey now, are the last rays of sunlight, so lets home Sawyer feels like waking up and opening the curtains for a better look around that dark room... Or that Fides has kept an eye on her and called in some extra reserves.

I'm betting the Blood Watch is a regular freak show of creepy critters, but still I wasn't overly surprised by Mr Nosferatu.

Lin-Lin however better use her greatest weapon of all, and I'm not talking the power of Love. I mean that brain of hers, hopefully she had a vamp phase or at least a goth one. Or ate some garlic, or is devoutly religious. Cause if you don't have faith crosses sure as hell don't work.

Generally I'm disappointed in her, you'd think she would have anticipated this and brought some Battle-Priests with her to slow him down a bit.

Hail Lin-Lin the Destroyer! May she smite our enemies and not us!

Yeah. I was trying to establish it as a sub-group. Ignorant of the higher workings (i.e. Vamps and the like).

So does this mean that the Bloodwatch is a Vampire organisation, or is red-eye here just one of many different "monsters" working for the organisation?

It's hard to explain what's there and what's not. <D-ROD WAS HERE AND ALL I GOT WAS OPPRESSED>
I can safely say there are no Werewolves in the Bloodwatch.

It was a joke about shotgun weilding redneck werewolves. It was late and I was tired and for some reason I thought it'd be funny.

I was wrong by the way. :P

Don't worry... At current time, other than that Werewolves are not in the Bloodwatch, we don't know much about them yet.

I found the mental image of hillbilly, gun-loving, werewolves a little odd at first, then realized how awesome that would be in any story of the appropriate genre. Southern werewolves all fuzzy running around shooting people while shouting in Deep South Accents? I'd invest some time watching/reading that!

It's a Hoot and half. One of my Favorite supplements in the Old White Wolf Werewolf line was Rage Across Appalachia. That's right, Redneck Werewolves! Turns out the Hatfields and McCoys are really fighting about a Magic sword, and they're all Furry! The book also has (as far as I know) the only existing NPC from a Dead Tribe. I also think there's a Call of Cthulu/ Avalon Hill board game based on this concept too.

Also, why are we so SURE this guy is a vampire? I can think of a half dozen TV monsters I've seen who fit this general description of German, pale, thin, supernatural.

I remember.....everything! But in order to avoid a horrible in-comic demise I won't be saying anything. And damn you Charles for Rick Rolling me!

Considering he did the mist trick and is a dead ringer for Nosferatu I'd say it was a pretty good bet he's a neck-biter.

The worst thing about the video is Rick's attempt at dancing.

Looks like we're going to have to build a BP memorial page.

:(

Well, it was bound to happen- he did say the price for defiance was death. But I'm wondering if in some way, he's getting away with it?

Everything is looking like it's leading up to death for Deep One Prime. He's stated that he will choose the method of his death, he APPEARS to have come full circle with his turn away from the EoD and realisation of Mother Hydra's full power. We're now watching him pour his blood into the Shadowchild in what appears to be a self-sacrifice of his life essence. In every way it seems like his character has been played out to it's fullest and we're about to witness the end of him.

Yet for all those reasons I feel like he's going to live. It just feels too predictable and the Daves have generally proven to be anything but. But maybe I'm reading into it too deeply, just as I read into Chrissy's left eye too deeply in today's page *lol* (You totally should have claimed that DRey and just looked like you'd taken it that deeply :P)
