On the plus side, she may find high school a lot more bearable in contrast to battling the supernatural.
Leave battle to the warriors or put a target on your rump.

Nope. See, when a fish monster attacks, you can shoot him in the face. When the Vampire attacks, you can beam him with a metal chair.

When Amber picks up the top you just took off in the locker room, holds it over her chest, and say "Me name Lin-Lin. Me love you long time!" you can't exactly respond with leathal force.

However, you can fill her locker with shaving cream. Or possibly let the cop whose life you saved know where her weed stash is.

No, you just take Amber for a picnic by the lighthouse. Then you make sure to give her the porkchop necklace you made for her before shoving her in the water.

Beating her first is optional.

My thinking was more along the lines of she'd just brush off Amber's stupidity, then use it against her by pointing behind the girl. When her gullible head is turned, she'd snatch back her top, put it somewhere secure, and be content in having displayed mental superiority. Granted, this is high school we're talking about so what that means may not amount to much, but nevertheless, she'll know there are worse things in the world than how some dink with emotional problems she needs to lash out at others for...acts.

While well meaning spork, that hasn't been her reaction yet. Her reaction has been "hit it with a weapon." This isn't a reaction that she can take back to the real world.

Soliders don't come back from war well adjusted and and able to shrug off the barbs and jabs thrown at them by idiots. They come back horrified and with an inate desire (and skill) to rip those people's tongues out of thier head, and then strangle them with them.

That's the thing, Bounty- she's not, and has never been, a soldier. She doesn't react like a soldier to these situations, she acts like a kid that has been thrown into it and risen to the occasion. She'll need some kind of outlet, but she'll be fine. Hell, she might even project a don't-mess-with-me field so wide, Amber will think twice about touching her top.

I'd see Lin-Lin either be more like "ooh, I'm Ambers mom! I have sex with fish!... for a nickel" or...

ok, i got nothing better than getting that crazy look in her eye and clubbing amber into submission with a paper towel dispenser

Amber is the random peabrained pissant high school mean girl that will be working at the gas station in ten years anyway. :D

At least, that's how I read it, anyway.
