Merchandise

Postby D-Rod on Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:07 pm

As some of you may have noticed, we have a shop. There are only a couple of items in there. (Issue 1 and a set of ADORABLE buttons) So...before I just start adding things to the shop I will put it out there for you guys.

What kind of Shadowgirls merchandise would you be interested in seeing in the coming months?

Oh, and just so you know, we will be adding a limited number of Convention Special issue 01's to the shop. Each copy has a unique, hand-drawn, cover by either Dave Reynolds or our resident Shadowbabies artist, Misty Coats.

You know you want one!

Couple of ideas...But only two.

Postby KingOfFools on Wed Aug 15, 2007 1:45 pm

Posters sound good to me - I would have large images of Charon and Becka up on my wall. Possibly posters of some of those alternate universe covers.

Clothing, though I'd be a little more wary there...high quality artwork doesn't always wash well.

...running kind of low on thought-power today, so the obvious choices are about all I've got.

For now.

I'd like to see a black Messenger Bag with the Shadowgirls Logo on the flap. That'd be awesome.

Some hats, mouse pads... T Shirts... You know, stuff. Advert stuff that looks absolutely badass.

Now there's thinking...

I second the messenger bag idea. And the hats. *looks at his ratty-assed mousepad* Come to think of it, pretty much any of those ideas sound good.

Oh, Oh!

A T-shirt with a "pole" innuendo on it.

And something to identify that it came from Shadowgirls.

All Merch'd up, and nowhere to go.

Postby KingOfFools on Sun Aug 19, 2007 3:24 am

Pendants, p'rhaps, or some method by which one could copy Charon's tattoos.

Personally, I would love to see a tarot deck with original Shadowgirls art.

Plushies would be cool, fish-monster or otherwise, and some kind of high-detail action figures.

As things progress a little further, maybe a collection of excerpts from Becka's journal (if she keeps one, I don't know, she seems like the type that would). Maybe a "behind the scenes" / "making of" companion book.

I was going to say something about the Shadowgirls animated miniseries on DVD, but that may not even be a direction that interests you. Thus far, the current medium fits the material just beautifully, I honestly don't know how well it would translate. And in any case, it would likely be years down the road before we'd see it in the shop, whereas I had intended this to be a list of more immediate use. So...I scrapped the DVD suggestion.

That's all I've got, for right now.
Good day, citizens.

P S - I just ordered issue 01, and noticed that the Shadowbabies buttons are described as "chibbies" - shouldn't that be "chibis"? </pedant>
Also, when will the Convention Specials be up in the shop?

Thanks for your order, your book is going out this week. The Con specials will be up in a week or two. Since Dave and Misty have to hand draw those. :)

Devil-spawned agents of hate!

Koalas! Stuffed, one-eyed koalas, I would buy one of those in a heartbeat. Two, probably, one for my personal collection, and one for my daughter to drag around with her.

This, of course, assumes I can somehow convince my ex to stop spending EVERY LAST FRIGGIN CENT I MAKE rant froth spittle hiss

I would love to see you guys hook up with Clayburn Moore (http://www.csmoorestudio.com) for a sweet little statue rendition of Becka at Sunset.

Cheers!

I believe somebody mentioned posters?

Postby KingOfFools on Sat Sep 29, 2007 1:59 am

Back here, you had mentioned something about two sizes of posters for any page...I'd like to know what's going on along those lines.
It may have been a quiet day at the time, but I'll go on record now as saying I think that's a fantastic idea.

ISSUE 2 and 3 Delays

Postby D-Rod on Sat Sep 29, 2007 11:46 am

I wanted to let you guys know that we will be shipping out Issues 2 and 3 and soon as possible. There have been a few more delays from the printer than we were expecting. In the past our books have moved through the queue faster than this and I apologize for any inconvenience.

We usually expect to ship our orders withing about 2 weeks of receiving payment. Since I ship them myself I can only make so many trips to the UPS. :) Thank you all for your patience and support!
