PURPLE FALLING "DARK QUEEN RISING" - SEQUENCE

Postby Charles on Sun Feb 08, 2009 11:37 pm

This forum topic concerns the scene/sequence beginning with "Dark Queen Rising Part One"

WOW! Now THATS and entrance!

Hey there are runes on the back wall. I'll have to interpret them at some point, but looks like our girls are back and if this is the longest sequence thus far then I guess there's either about to be a lot of talking followed by a lot of action.

Now it's time to find out just how much more of a role Christmas Snow has in all of this. I suspect there's still something significant in store for her.

I'm really liking the new site design.

Gonna be sniffles, then ass-whupping.

Maybe Misty shakes some unspeakable horrors loose that other people (Us) will have to handle (be bitten by) for awhile.

Clever choice of thread titles, charles.

I almost missed how the Shadowchild is staring down at Christmas. 'Course I'm not seeing a whole lot of contempt, more like she might say, "...'sup?"

More like: 'sup Biach?'

It's a very regal and heroic pose. Classic.

Today's installment and Keneth's idea of each Shadowchild entity representing one part of human conciousness got me thinking. Though we know that the MacKays and the supernatural ex-tumor are now working together, I think there's still an issue of body control.

At first I'd say that control may instantaneously switch. When talking to Christmas, it seemed Nodens was in control. Had that cold, pretty uncaring vibe about her. Then when she sees Purp, someone befriended by the teenager, Becka takes over to tend to him. If brute force is needed, Charon would take the wheel, as she's the experienced brawler and her solo powers dealt with primarily in strength.

My other idea is that it could just be Becka the whole time, since she is the "chosen one" here. But she has Nodens' power and her Mother's support to aid her, and thus she takes on a little of each of their personalities. Enough of that should be evident given with how differently she acted in her solo-shadowform.

Thoughts?

Charon's strait out. Th eearlier disembodied scene implied that While Nodens has primary control, Becca is still very much active, and that while charon can't control, she can boost Becca enough to let becca be in control. Also,i thinkwe've got a Noden-Eye's effect, and since the Daves are that good, a lack of Noden-eyes should mean this is pure Becca conciousness.

Just for the record... The Shadowchild is not Nodens. Nodens is the guy who created the Shadowchild but he is not the entity that is currently residing in the brains of both Rebecca and Charon.

We really should name her. :P

Yeah, I remembered someone saying that months back, and in this discussion I'm wondering why she's called Nodens. But oh well.

Hey, if you do come up with a name, it could make for a vote incentive so fans wouldn't forget. Ooh, I got one: *************
