Quick note on the Roman Pantheon for you charles.
The Romans adopted the Greek gods, and adepted them to thier specific needs though a blend of almagamation and reinterpitation. A good example of the first is where the Mood goddess Pallas Artamis, the virgin Huntress, was blended with older Roman dieties Hecatate and ‘drawing a blank’ to become a trumveate goddess of magic and feminime. An example of the other is Ares, who to the greeks was a braggart and a bully, because with a few notable exceptions *cough* Sparta *cough* Greeks weren’t very militant. The goddess of tactics got more worship. Whereas the militant Romans advanced him toa very powerful figure, and even gave him an affair witheh goddess fo lvoe and beauty.
So , there are three gnerations of GREEK gods. The first are the ‘primordals’ Gaia and Uranas (the Earth adn the Sky/Universe). From them were birthed the Titans Chronos and Rhea. And they gave birth to the Gods. In mythology Chonos killed Uranus with a sickle, castrated him, and threw his genitals into the ocean. But since he didn’t fulfill his end of the bargin, his Son, Zues, later killed him.
Now in Roman, Chronos is Saturn, and Jupiter is Zeus, and the severed genitals in the salt water is Venus (THERE’S one for Freud). Mars is the oldest Ligitamate son of Zeus.
So while the symbol for Jupiter may be the sickle and plus, I don’t know about teh Z. I know that niether are standard Alchemicals.
Found the Z on Symbols.com, 15:12 - Sweedish for Werewolf
