MONDO KANE "Cold Comfort" - SHORT STORY

This forum topic concerns the shortstory "Cold Comfort" by D J Moore.

I guess we know 90% of the story already thanks to Moore's script, but there may still be some revelations handed out thanks to the Dave's adjustments to make it conform with their Mythos.

I'm loving the alternate, experimental look DRey has put on the fishmonster with 6 finger, webbed hands and flipper like feet, along with the gills on the neck. With the changes to the face as well, I think she looks just that little bit more human and less deadly... Which is probably good for one scene in particular that I know will make people cringe... Man, Phill Banks will need some serious alcohol to get him through that... Unless the Master just puts in some nice illusion.

It's really hard to pick a favorite panel in Wednesday's comic- the zappy statue, the creepy eye thing that really looks like it should be glowing an unnatural color, the figure on the boat...

But I'm looking at the composition of the third panel. I don't know if D-Rey intended to do this or if it's an unplanned byproduct of the awesomeness... but bring it up on your screen and step back a couple paces. Then take a look at the close-up of the blood hydra and tell me what you think.

I'd really like to know if I'm crazy here- crazier, anyway. If I'm not, then that's a pretty neat trick there!

Scared the living crap out of me after I got off the phone... that's really good! But now I'm going to have to go all the way back through the archives and look for more visual things like that! Oh well... it's supposed to rain Saturday, anyway...

so, its it just me, or does the "master" look more like a "Mistress" in that last panel? (for some reason looking at the eye made me think "girl" weird eh?

it may be obed still though, since it is obvious that the master has one eye.


goodness! Tainwolf could be the master in disguise, or his/her clone!
