Revenge Of The Fallen

Postby Jacobus on Wed Jun 24, 2009 6:10 pm

Watched it last night. Was nearly as good as the first one. There was something about it I didn't like which left me disapointed in it. Last night to me feancee I described it as a 2.5 hour movie with 0.5 of robots. Which was wrong.
The problem I realised. Is like this:

Transformers: The movie - 95% of robots were characters, 5% ISB's
Revenge of the Fallen - 5% of robots were characters, 95% ISB's

It might not be that steep of a ratio. But it sums up my feelings.

Can't say I disagree. Ratchet and Ironhide barely got in much dialogue or fighting in. And the Twins can burn in the firey Pit for all I care.

At least we got in more giant robot's kicking the crap out of each other. And that's always nice.

Please note I still did indeed enjoy the movie.

So did I. It had more 'bot action than the first, but unfortunately Bay and the writers chose to amp up the crappy blue humor that the '07 film also had.

If it'd been one or two cheap shots of the course of two and a half hours, I would've been okay with it. But like Prime said, "They'll never stop at just one."

It's official. I need to write the next flick.
