I'm tired of crummy news.

Today's crummy news is that a friend of mine is diagnosed with colon cancer. He's beaten it before and he's determined to do so again. But it still sucks and has me equal parts pissed off and rattled.

Please continue with your wackiness. It makes me smile. :)

Sorry to hear that- and that doesn't even do it justice, but it's the best thing I can do other than catch a train to give you a hug.

In other news, I have discovered the point behind the Friday happy hours my advisor used to drag us all to- interacting outside of work with even the most demanding boss ensures that you do not rise up in armed revolt.

Thanks Tink. My grumbliness at the universe has cooled a bit, but I'll feel even better after I give cancer boy a hug this weekend.

The person who arranges happy hours here isn't my boss but she works in my department. I never go but maybe I should. Doubt I'll find her less weird and annoying though. LOL

just go, socialize a little, laugh gently as a drink "accidentally" gets spilled on her, then apologize for being clumsy and offer some help cleaning up. Oh, pretending to be inebriated really helps sell it lol.

Are you speaking of Mafia or Serial killers? Because that would be an awesome game to play on this forum with a more... uh... mature audience. Plus, I could play!

Or were you thinking somethings elses and I was just getting all excited to kill people again?

Stupid boys get me all excited about killing people, hehe.

It's not too cold up here in Michigan lately. We had a few cold days, but it hasn't even really snowed yet. Goddamn Great Lakes screwing with the weather! I want some snow already! I'm hoping we won't have a mid-winter spell of 70 degree weather this year, winter is supposed to be snowy and cold not shorts-wearing temperatures.

I'm cold in the office day. I'm so cold, I'm fantasizing about building a fire, hobo style, in my cubicle. Sadly, I don't have an empty metal trashcan.
