Irc chat is fairly easy and basic. A friend of mine created and set up a room in under a half an hour (her first time doing it and everything) and it would give your fan peoples a chance to talk to you and all that good stuff without you actually having to commit to a conversation. :D

There's an idea.

I will admit, I haven't really done much of anything with IRC before, but I would be glad to host a #Shadowgirls channel on brown.freenode.net

It ALMOST won. And if I had actually paid any attention, I would have realized that it by all right should have won due to the sheer obsessive popularity of her on the internet.

So, stepping into Geek mode, which of the 4 Raven's were you proposing? I'm guessing the current Junior one, which is the most disturbing choice. Of course easier than cheating might have been just drawing her in Spirit form, she's always naked when she's a giant bird made of pure darkness...

The disturbing Raven.

I mean, I like the character and I loved the show... But the sheer about of fanboys that want to see her raped is just utterly unnerving. *shudder*

Needless to say, I learn from my mistakes.

By disturbing I ment that you've got 4 Ravens whare are 21, 26, 17, and 13 respectively, and it's the 13 y/o who gets all the stalker fan bois.

I've watched a lot fo the show, and while I won't give it a huge rating, it's not completely worthless. Also, I love watching new artists re0interpet old characters. But for some reason I just can't stand the new Raven. I think she's just to shallow, a gothy shadow the way a 10 year old would make something 'dark'. She just lacks the depth of the orginal, or either of the two rebirths. Same issue with Cyborg, they took all the dark conflicting depths out of the character, and replaced it with a burp joke and catch phrase.

What's ironic is that Starfire, who had a suit smaller than most Image character's outfits, doesn't get more fan boi-age.

I believe it's the "brooding fanboy" desire. I've seen it before with certain female characters. The one that pops in my head is Rei Ayanami from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Essentially, the character had no personality. She existed to be abused. (Much like I was watching the show.) Fanboys see this, and have this internal desire to play "brooding good guy" who wants to "save her" and "make her happy."

I've seen fangirls do this too, but obviously with the "anguished and tormented teenage boy who's trying to find his place in the world."

Funny thing about Starfire... I never liked her comic version. The blank green eyes and the Peg Bundy hair was always never a good look in my eyes. The fact that she constantly spoke in phrases like "Now you deal with a warrior born!" just pretty much made me lose all respect for the character. And I'm a dork! It wasn't until the cartoon version I actually liked her. I mean, the personality they gave her may have been "off" but in comparison... Yeah.

I will not hear such awful lies about my darling Rei! Hiss, froth, growl!
...Eheh. Sorry, recovering Evaholic.

I'm sorry, I'm going to have to continue this when I get get Cruel Angel's Thesis out of my head. Possibly in February.
Damn it.

I always liked this costume variation. In fact, I love this over all piece. I left my foot long exposition on there. :p
