I am by no means an expert on copyright law but I believe you would have only broken them had you presented the photos as your own, without the website. Now, had you scanned the pictures after you had paid for them then that is a different thing.

If you were to publish the pictures, then you would have to cite who had taken them so that they would get the credit.

But as you have not even tried to falsify the origins of the pictures and, indeed, provided the links to the company, I would see that you had done nothing illegal. If anything, you are providing them a service by giving them free advertising.

Normally you'd say (as even you did) that one ought to be forwarned because you take bad pictures (something one could inference from your statements) but, after having reviewed them, you admit they are quite good, an admittance that could be given entirely to the photographer rather than to your own personal photogenic abilities.

So, yeah, I think you're safe.

Actually, there you're conflating general copyright with plagiarism (which is a specific form of copyright infringement). Technically, the photographer holds copyright unless such is waived to the subject, and reproducing the prints/proofs without such waiver is an infringement of copyright. It's the same as if someone mirrored the Shadowgirls comic on another site; even if they gave proper attribution, they were not licensed to make such a copy.

Picture forthcoming; all my pictures of myself are huge and I need to find one suitable for cropping/downsizing.

Looks like I'm not the only one needed to do their laundry.

Also is that a AvP movie poster? I had one but now I only got my massive Land of the Dead one.

It's black. There a few very subtle hints of red, but you would never see them in the webcam. And I can't find the cord to my good camera. :<

Also, that's two AvP posters. :p

Some of the New Years pics that are already on the net are pretty decent. Why don't you try one of those? ;)

A cutie!? Sweet?!

Hey! thats 'THE HUNTER' you're talkin' bout there. use descriptive terms like "handsome fella", "little digger" and "Diaper Battler".

You know, I read a book once that said females are genetically pre-disposed to go "ooooh" and "ahhhh" over baby shapes. Hence why they love teddy bears and the like.
