Just wondering whats happening with the list of finalists for the Competition.

Still trying to find the time to read them in between the busy schedule? How many did you get in the end?

(not that I can talk, considering how little progress I've made with the Online RPG... I'll put some work into it tonight).

We had some stuff pop up here in real life. We haven't forgotten it. We're just backed up... Both of us, and not just me for a change of pace. :P

Probably all so crap that DRod's busy writing 5 stories of his own under 5 false names to submit for voting.

Oh dear... time travel and evil masterminds?

I'll have to reinforce my shelter under my bed... ^_^ No rush on judging guys, but thanks for letting us know what's up. I don't think I've been the only one lurking back in here, curious to see results.

Haha. it would be ironic if there were only five entrants, for the five finalist places. Haha. But I doubt that, since I believe there are 5 entrants who posted here at least, and then I'm sure more people entered who didn't post on this forum. :D

I'll admit that I'm one of the people who submitted a story but do not regularly post on these forums. (Actually I entered two.) I've been stopping by for word on the contest but I can wait as long as it takes. (I'd be a lot less patient if I really thought I was going to make the top five.)

I did want to note that I am planning on posting my stories if they are not part of the top 5. Frankly, I'd rather the folks here enjoyed them instead of just vanishing into the digital graveyard. I would also love to see other people's stories as well. However, I am planning (and would strongly urge others) to hold off on posting them until after the voting is done on the top 5. Otherwise, I envision complaints and votes for non-top five stories distracting from those stories deemed most worthy.

That sounds like an awesome idea. We can post a forum where all the, er, losing entries can be put up. (Well, the ones authors want posted.) But I think it might be best to keep certain critiques, if not all, in pms to the authors, if readers are so inclined. Because otherwise it's likely that someone will still say "oh but this one was so good, you should have won", etc.

Me and D.Rod were actually talking about doing something like that, to the non-winnings entries. (Maybe even making an illustration to go with them. I don't know yet.)

But it's not a joke when I say we got a lot of stuff going on. I mean, I'm moving in a month and I have to pack, catch up on all my commissions and get them done before them, as well finding an apartment for me and my dad, contacting the college up north so I can enroll for Winter courses, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I shouldn't be worrying about at age 33. And D.Rod's... Even busier.

We haven't forgotten it folks. Honest.

That sounds terribly stressful. Take a deep breath and relax. Real life always must come before all of this internet stuff, so you just have to learn to relax a little. (Tai chi or yoga a little maybe?) Take an evening off to yourself, and then get back to work the next day. We can easily wait however long it takes. ^_^ And best of luck dealing with life, I'm sure you'll be fine.
