I just read the very first introduction blogpost thingy. How sad is it that I got all teary? I'm still a little teary.

As for all of that... I have a strange feeling that Charon got the boys one on one and tied em to a tree that way. And that's what, in front of the school? Public humiliation is one way of showing someone that you are not to be messed with... Then again, it's also possible that it turns him into a broading and vengenful sort of person who will need to learn a lesson again sometime in the future.

I imagine Fides, aka Meghan, is setting up a network or inflitrating a network with some sort of keystroke logger or another spying sort of software to keep an eye on the EOD.

@DRey - Loving the painted clouds and island in the last panel. They turned out beautifully!

Nah Fides is busy selling my email address to a couple thousand porn sites! Or maybe she's selling all the Insiders' emails for massive profits!

I never make that evil face when I'm trying to beat someone's bejeweled score, therefore it's not that. Buahah!

anyone got a bead on Becka's Father?

The best two I can think of in the story are Sawyer and Jackson, but going over Sawyer's conversations with her it doesn't look like he's familiar with her despite having grown up in Innsmouth. He also calls her a "Little girl" so I'm half convinced he's older than her.

Jackson fits best as somone her age, etc. But you'd think he would have thought back then that he could be the father if there was any possibility. Charon's profile it's self says she doesn't recall who the father is but that could be spitting out a lie she's telling everyone or even herself.

I'm thinking its got to be someone we're yet to meet. Although Paul obviously knows them and owed them one for something.

I agree. I don't think it's Jackson because it just doesn't seem to fit the bill, especially since Jackson should really remember sleeping with his best friend when she was 15 or so.

I'm going with C - Someone we haven't met yet. Just because I think DRod is that sort of person who would make us try to compare something to everything else we know, only to realize later is had no relevancy (he's a little evil like that, I think).

As for Moria... She was supposed to have died in a horrible car accident along with Charon's father, right? So maybe we'll find out what happened to him in Season 2, or maybe even get to meet him.

And now crazy scary lady is alone with the drop bear blond in the truck... I don't think you'll die Chuckie. I think she'll just scare the bejesus out of you.

Either way... lots to think about! :)

Dear Daves,

I love you and I hate you.

The season was fantastic. It's been a wonderful two year ride. Awesome, awesome stuff.

But the cliffhanger?! AAARRGH! Looks like I will be following the speculation threads throughout the summer.

hugs and kisses,
spring

A theory I have formulated is as followed:

Moira, being Charon's mother, is the one responsible for her disappearance. She worked for the Esoteric Order of Dagon, and faked (at least) her death because it benefited them. Later, when Charon became the right age, she took her out, drugged her, and got her pregnant so that Becka would be born and later fulfill her destiny to die for Mother Hydra. The 9 months she was gone, Charon was probably drugged to make her forget everything while she likely was locked in a cell.

Whether or not Papa MacKay plays a role in all or not remains to be seen (especially since this is something I just pulled out of my brain).
